ISO EN 20471

Reflective safety vests certified in accordance with ISO EN 20741 standards, substituting EN 471.

Servicios y Seguridad Covadonga S.L. unveils its reflective safety vests which are certified under the new ISO EN 20471 standard. This new standard substitutes the previous one, EN 471.

This high-visibility clothing manufacturer from Madrid has adapted its vest models for the changes set forth in the new standards.

The most noteworthy change is the new scope of the new ISO standard, "High Visibility Clothing," along with the elimination of the CLASS 1 High-Visibility Clothing Option – something which will improve the visibility of these pieces of clothes. These changes, along with others related with the design and other technical characteristics, will make our clothing of higher quality, more visible, and, therefore, safer.

Servicios y Seguridad Covadonga S.L. identified –in the 1980s– the importance of this sector when its founders, specialized in roadway and emergency vehicle indication/warning elements, began to manufacture high-visibility protective clothing. Although those first items would not comply with the standards that exist today, they were soon to be adapted to the requirements of EN-471:1994, making us pioneers in the field, with certification of our vests as high-visibility clothing obtained in May of 1997.
